The more you draw a character the more you refine the design, well to my understanding at least. Trying different styles helps you branch off to your own. Why not combine it?
I'm planning to pick one of the many characters I have recently designed and draw them in more than one style, if it goes as I hope I'll have more ways to combine a style with another and just to have a little fun while learning to draw other styles.

Well, people always talk of which is truly better. Pirates or Ninjas?

I say they both have their upsides:
Ninjas have an array of weapons, fancy fighting styles, silent assassinations and black clothing.
Pirates have cutlasses, giant ships, flamboyant clothing, cool sounding terms, catchy shanties, pretty flags and lots of rum.

Yes, ninjas do have all this fancy fighting stuff and crazy stealth and hiding in the shadows. PIRATES have numbers, ships, guns, puffy shirts and a ridiculous amount of accessories. Ninjas don't have this "Naruto style-ninjutsu" and pirates, they just don't need it =w=

Screw that, you say ANYTHING about ninjas in public its like "OMG NARUTO" automatically. Good god, seriously. People are just making the word ninja now associated only with Naruto than actual ninjas. Simply ninjas were just trained for unorthodox arts of war. Like assassination and espionage.

Pirates on the other hand, were only SLIGHTLY butchered by the media. Most pirates had all their limbs and eyes, but the few that were injured had things replaced. They did wear the flamboyant clothing, and had black flags with symbols of death [I.E:skulls]



But my whole point is that I personally think that Pirates are better then Ninjas.
